Daddy's Home

Seeing the kids wrap their arms around Danny's neck when he came home was the best Christmas gift for me this year! After 7 weeks of being apart, seeing them together was one of those moments you know you'll remember for the rest of your life. The kids weren't expecting him for a couple more days so we got to surprise them! Danny and I kept in touch all day as he got into town. We had to time it perfectly for me to let Naveya and Dax open an early Christmas present. I put a letter that read - Daddy is Home! in a box and wrapped it up with a bow. Then waited for him to text me that he was outside! I could hardly contain my excitement knowing he was just outside when I told the kids it was time to open their gift!

Naveya and Daxton both tore the wrapping paper, Dax took the letter out of the box saying "why is it only a card?" Haha! Then Naveya read the paper out loud. Danny could hear us through the door. Right after Naveya asked "Why does it say Daddy is home?" there was a knock at the door. It was perfect. It all was such a surprise it took a few seconds to sink in, but as soon as I opened the door it was all instant hugs and squeals.

I just watched the video I took of them opening the gift and tackling Danny on the doorstep. My heart swelled. These babies, this family of mine. They're everything. With this new year, I'm so excited to make more amazing memories with these three!
