HOME.
We decided to get family photos taken at our last apartment right before the move and I'm SO GLAD we did!! Having our pictures taken is one of my favorite things. Well, in the moment it can be a little chaotic, but the result is my favorite!! We had Donna take our photos and I love how they turned out! (you can see her Instagram HERE) She also mentioned always wanting to take family photos at In-n-Out and I immediately said YES! I'll post a few of those too!
Beyond getting to have these photos of us in our element, it's also special having photos in this apartment because at one point the brochure to that apartment was a goal, pinned to a corkboard in our room. At the time we had been back in Phoenix for about 6 months. Danny and I were still rebuilding from a really tough year financially and we set the goal to move into that apartment as a push to continue to grow. It was out of our current budget at the time we set the goal, but it was in the perfect part of Phoenix, with more of a city vibe. I loved the walkability to tons of great restaurants and stores in the neighborhood, so we set that big goal and within a couple months we made it happen! We lived in that apartment for 2 years and it was so good to us! I think we just needed that mental shift. We needed to set a big goal like that and raise our bar. When our second year there started to come to a close I felt that our little home had served its purpose. My focus has now started to shift in another direction, and we're setting more big goals again! Hence our little BIG move! (Which will definitely have its own post coming soon.) I was talking to a friend right before our move and she said: "Where's my favorite gypsy family moving this time!?" Her and her husband both work in the military, so that's saying something!! Haha! In our little lifetime together so far, Danny and I have moved alot. We met and started our family in Utah, spent a summer in Kentucky, and a year in Texas. All while making Arizona our home base in between. We've lived in a big house, a couple townhomes, and a couple teeny apartments. Each home molding around what we've needed at the time.
Someday I may settle down somewhere. Whatever that looks like for me. For now, I love that we've allowed ourselves to be flexible enough to go after what we want!! So grateful for this family of mine, and that apartment that held us for a couple years. and I couldn't be more excited for what's to come!!
as promised. a few In-n-Out photos below.....
