FATHERS DAY + FAMILY MOVES

This last week we were able to celebrate Danny for Fathers Day, have dinner with my grandma for the first time since she moved here to AZ, and meet up with cousins who also moved here this week!!! LOTS and LOTS of family time. (AAND LOTS of photos below!)

For Fathers Day weekend we kept it simple with a family pool day/BBQ. (Thanks for cooking your own food on Fathers Day babe. ;) I'm clearly the best wife ever.) Danny is the obvious favorite when it comes to pool days. It was so fun watching them together as he would hold the kids up and throw them across the pool. Ha! They have so much fun with him. On Father's day we got together with my aunt, cousins and grandma Romero!! She recently moved here from California and I'm excited to have her so close. She moved near my aunt just north of Phoenix. It's not far from where we are in the city, but there's a stretch of open desert on the way to their house and its so pretty!! Excited to spend more time up there with them!

Every time I got out of the pool to lay out, Dax would follow. It was so cute and very unlike himself to get out of the pool for ANYTHING. So it felt pretty special that he just wanted to be close to me, and tell me stories about Pokemon. Something about how we could pretend to be Snorlax's (sp? no clue) and take naps after going swimming. Again, so not like him to ask for a nap but I'll take it!

Love these kids so freaking much!! They inherited my lack of personal space for sure. Ha!

This last week the amazing summer camp field trips continued!!! Daxton went to see Freaky Friday (the play) and Naveya went to an AZ Diamonbacks game! The night before, Navy decided she wanted to make some signs to take to the game and share with her friends. Danny also happened to have a work dinner that same night so I decided to ditch our typical bedtime routine for a craft night/dance party.

The hat Navy bobby pinned to her hair is actually an ice cream bowl. We got it from Ted Drewes in St Louis. (If you're ever in St Louis...Ted Drewes frozen custard is a must! Don't believe me? Ask supermodel Karlie Kloss who is from there. I think its made with 99% more pure cream than ice cream and it. is. goood.) St Louis is a big baseball city with their Cardinals, so when my kids ordered their kids sundaes and requested Diamondbacks hats you should have seen the look on the cashiers face. Ha! Our only St Louis souvenirs were of our AZ baseball team. They're fun to use for ice cream at home, and apparently, you can wear them too!

In other exciting news, more family moved here to AZ this week!!! Rach, Nate and their sweet kiddos!! Rachael is Danny's sister and the best sister in law I could ask for! So excited to have cousins close! We lived with them in Texas for a year and these kids love each other so much. We got together with them for dinner last night and it was so fun seeing them all together. Navy at one point had both Anna and Owen on her lap during dinner. Of course, for dessert we had to take them to Frost for Gelato!!

Looking forward to the cousins coming over to swim and make S'mores this weekend!
