Life Lately
We've done so much this November. Danny left two days after halloween to start working ahead of us in Phoenix. We're going home!!! I'm so excited!! Right after Danny left I began a month long social media vacation, started a seasonal job at Costco, and I'm pretty sure each of the kids have grown a foot taller. Since so much has happened in these past few weeks I want to make a list of some of the things we've learned and done!
- Daxton learned to write his name. Well, half of it, and its perfect.
- Naveya had a week off for thanksgiving break! I love school breaks and getting more time with her!!
- We went to a fall festival together (photo above), played games, and won the cake walk...twice!
- Dax learned to swing on the swings by himself. He's been able to for a while, but just in these past couple weeks he's been able to pump his legs and keep swinging higher without any help. Go bubba!!
- I've been reminded how spoiled I am to have Danny scratch my back every night. I don't sleep as well without him here.
- I had a moment looking at Naveya the other day. We were playing at the park and it just hit me how beautiful and precious she is. I felt overwhelming love for her! She just shines from the inside out, she is my girl, and I love her! (*I snapped a photo right before that moment. It's posted below!)
- Dax and I built "New York City" in the living room out of blocks.
- Facetime has become one of my new favorite things. We miss that Daddy of ours and it's so nice to get to see each others faces from 1,000+ miles away.
- Danny may have found our new apartment. Crossing my fingers!
- I haven't been on Facebook or Instagram for weeks since starting this social media vacation/cleanse/detox thing. It's been so great in helping me know how I can be more intentional with my time. I can't wait to get back to social with this fresh outlook!
- I've made a few new friends at Costco and I've spoken spanish alot more which has been cool!
- Daxton wrote me a note on the way to drop me off for my first day at work. It was a bunch of random letters. He was so proud of his capital 'A' that he circled it! Gosh I love that boy!! I folded the note and kept it in my pocket the entire day.
