Downtown Phoenix

We've been back home in Phoenix for 6 months now! Between hitting that 6 month mark and it being 4th of July weekend, it only seemed fitting to spend some time wandering our city as a family. I feel so blessed to get to live here. In this country and in Phoenix! We started by going out for BBQ and then made our way downtown. I may have mentioned this a bajillion times, but I just have to say I LOVE walking around a city. We walked past our favorite Thai place (Tom Yum), a new mural I had seen pictures of, and watched the sun set from the top of a parking garage. We're still such amateur photographers that the sky is completely washed out. It was so beautiful in person! Even without getting to see the sunset in these pictures they are still some of my favorite ones! I just love my little family! After watching the sun set, we went back down to the street. It was a really warm night. So I felt like the perfect way to end our adventure would be to go to a small splash pad and get our feet wet.

At the end of the night as we were walking back to our car Naveya turned to me and said, "I think we'll do really good in New York." Which, of course made my heart so happy. My kids know how much their mama loves New York City. We talk about getting to go often and still add to our city jar as we can. I love that we're working as a family to create this amazing life together! Whether it's a family trip or our weekend adventures here in AZ. Seriously, I can't get over how blessed we are! How amazing it is that we get to live here in the valley! Enjoying everything that this desert uniquely has to offer. I'm so glad we live in a place that is filled with so many things we love. It's got some city, tons of palm trees, and endless summer days at the pool!
