Getting Back Into Working Out!
My birthday is eight weeks away! I don't know why, but for some reason turning 27 feels extra special! It's not a favorite number or anything. I just feel excited and I'm getting the vibe that it's gonna be good!
With my birthday and the holidays coming so soon I really want to get back into working out again! I've had an on and off relationship with working out since Dax was born, but this last "breakup" has been WAY too long and I'm feeling it! I know it's going to be tough to stick to, so I wanted to write this post to remind me to finish this year strong!
Things I'm looking forward to as I stay consistent with my strength training program [Body Beast]:
- Sore Muscles! It hurts, but I love that {lightly} sore feeling laying in bed at the end of the day and when I wake up in the morning. It's proof that I've done the work and instant gratification that change is happening.
- My clothes fitting better!
- More energy!!!!
- Loving my body as it is, and as I become stronger! There's something about working out that instantly makes me appreciate my body and what it can do. Seeing the inches fall off is the cherry on top!
- Seeing the inches "fall" off! I know its the cherry on top, but it's OH SO SWEET and takes a lot of work!! Better believe I'm going to celebrate it!
- Seeing definition in arms, legs, well....everywhere!
- Seeing myself in my progress photos, 1...2...and 3 months from now! I know the woman in those pictures will have changed for the better! Inside and out!
- Seeing my workouts improve!
- Feeling stronger! When I first tried Body Beast a couple years ago I was surprised at how much I loved lifting weights. I just love how strong feels!
- I'm excited to see what getting back into consistent workouts does for other areas of my life! I feel like it has an effect on everything I do. Like how I think about myself, how I treat myself, and my zest for life as a wife and mama! <3
