Big Surf
We discovered a fun little water park here in the valley! (Well played Big Surf for sending coupons home on the last day of school! Ha!) We set up a playdate to meet there when the park opened and ended up staying the entire day! We ate ice cream and went down slides until we were too tired to climb the steps back to the top. Ha! It was childhood and I loved every minute of it!
As soon as we got there we couldn't wait to get into the wave pool. I asked Naveya and Dax what their favorite part of the park was and the wave pool won, hands down! Playing in the waves, then having hamburgers and hot dogs from the concession stand reminded me of going to the beach as a kid. Nothing beats going to Huntington Beach, building sand castles, and cooking hotdogs over a fire pit. I'm so glad we were able to go to Big Surf to get a small taste of those beach days here in Phoenix!
Dax took a little while to warm up to the slides. I kinda loved it. He looked so little, nervously walking up to the small slides making sure I was waiting for him at the bottom. Then he worked his way up to the bigger slides knowing I'd be going down with him. It made my mama heart so happy hearing Dax scream and laugh as we went down the slides together! I also loved seeing Naveya laugh and have so much fun with her friends! She was so sweet with her little brother when he scraped his chin on the bottom of a pool. When she saw he was hurt she rushed over to us and then stayed right by him while the lifeguard put a bandaid on his little chin. I just love those two so much! I love seeing them happy, doing new things, and playing together! This time with them is my favorite!
