Random nonsense.

Last weekend started off by going out to one of our favorite mexican food places, Los Taquitos! It's one of those where you can get good tacos, and a good authentic bowl of pozole for cheap. My go-to orders there are Carne Asada street tacos (freaking delicious!) or when I'm feeling something different, you can't go wrong with a big pile of chilaquiles smothered in salsa verde!! While we were out for tacos I realized Danny and I were in matching outfits. I had Naveya take a few pictures of us and of course, Daxton wanted to join in too.

(Typical looks on our faces when my kids do something cute and I say I'm going to bite them.)

This week we broke down and bought new goggles for the kids. Last year we started off with 4 googles and by the beginning of this summer, we were down to one. I had been making them share, putting a timer on my phone to attempt to keep arguments at bay. Between the bickering and hearing alarms go off on my phone while I'd try to relax at the pool....I caved. VOILA, new goggles!

Navy and her goofy faces. I love how funny she is. She's been telling me a ton of jokes and riddles lately. I need to learn some good kid jokes to tell her. This week she also solidified her love for rock climbing. Naveya's camp field trip was to a rock climbing gym and she was so excited to tell me she made it to the top of one of the difficult level walls! A Lifetime gym is being built near our apartment and we're excited for it to open so she can climb there and maybe take a few lessons. (Way less than it would cost at a dedicated rock gym, and it's right around the corner!!)

I had to snap a few pictures of Dax in his ducky towel. We've had it since he was a baby and its one of those things where I look at him and I know the years of him wanting to wrap up in that ducky towel won't last forever. It was also cute watching him walk back from the pool. A dog saw him and got excited, wanting to play. He looked at me and said as a matter of fact, "Oh! He likes me because I look like a duck."

I already wrote a post about our Christmas in July party (here), but I had to share a couple more photos I took on my phone. A majority of the photos of all 4 of us are some form of selfie. Next month we're going to have family pictures taken and I can't wait to have more pictures of ALL four of us just being together. I love pictures so much!!

We're moved on to reading the second Harry Potter book as a family. A year or so ago Dax won this Lego Hedwig at Target for some HP promo they were doing. (It was already assembled and glued together.) At the time we hadn't read any of the books or watched the movies yet. Now that we've started the series Daxton loves his Lego Hedwig and has been keeping it next to his bed at night. This morning as I had just gotten out of the shower Dax walked into our room and handed it to me saying, "Can you hold my baby owl for me while I go potty, it's just a little one." (Again) One day I won't find legos in my bed, or be asked to hold pretend baby animals. Right now I'm living for it!!

Looking forward to this weekend and playing on some water slides downtown with this crew!
